Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant in Plainfield, New Jersey, to support patients across settings under the supervision of an OT.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of OTA experience, BLS, and NBCOT (COTA) certification, with state licensure. The role offers 9-hour day shifts on a 13-week assignment, with tax-free stipends and travel benefits from TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of OTA experience.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State licensure is required to practice.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under OT supervision.
• Monitor progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document performance and progress per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on independence techniques.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Comply with licensing rules and professional standards.
