Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a travel job in San Leandro, CA. The OTA will work under the supervision of an OT to help patients develop and recover daily living skills.

The assignment runs for 17 weeks, 35 hours per week, with an 8-hour daytime shift. Requires NBCOT (COTA), BLS, and California licensure; 1 year of OTA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OTA experience required.
• Current NBCOT (COTA) certification and BLS.
• State licensure to practice in California.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under supervision of OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to OT.
• Document patient performance per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises and mobility training.
• Educate patients/families on daily living activities.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Adhere to state licensing rules and professional standards.
