Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant in Danville, CA for a 13-week assignment. You will work under supervision of an OT to implement treatment plans tailored to patients’ goals, assisting with exercises, mobility training, and adaptive equipment while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and COTA certs, and California licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Current BLS and COTA National certification are required.
• State-specific licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
