Job summary

Critical Connection, inc seeks a skilled Hand Therapist to join our travel OT program in Glendive, Montana. You will evaluate and treat hand, wrist, elbow, and upper-extremity conditions within an outpatient setting, applying orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

The role requires OT licensure, 1–2 years of hand therapy experience, and a preference for CHT certification. 40 hours/week, 13-week duration, with travel or local options and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of practice.
• Certification as a Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred or interest in obtaining.
• 1–2 years of hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience with splint fabrication highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions (post-surgical, fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, chronic conditions).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical findings.
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints.
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
