Job summary

Critical Connection, inc is seeking a travel Hand Therapist (OT) to join our team in Florence, South Carolina. This role focuses on evaluation and treatment of hand, wrist, elbow, and upper-extremity conditions in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hand therapy experience, is licensed as an OT in SC, and may hold or pursue CHT certification. The position includes a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours weekly and 8-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of practice.
• Certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred (or eligibility/interest in obtaining).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of hand therapy or outpatient orthopedic setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of upper extremity anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience with splint fabrication highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat upper extremity conditions including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and chronic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical findings.
• Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints for various diagnoses.
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
