Job summary

Critical Connection, inc. seeks a hands-on Travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on upper-extremity rehab, post-surgical care, and orthosis fabrication within outpatient or hospital settings.

The ideal candidate is licensed in the state and may hold or aspire to CH.T certification, with 1–2 years in hand therapy and excellent manual therapy skills. Travel stipends may apply.

Qualifications

  • Licensed OT in state of practice.
  • CHT certification preferred or eligible.
  • 1–2 years hands-on hand therapy experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of upper-extremity anatomy and rehab techniques.
  • Experience with custom splint fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat upper-extremity conditions including post-surgical cases and fractures.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on referrals.
  • Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints for various diagnoses.
  • Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve function and reduce pain.
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and recovery expectations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation per standards and monitor progress.
  • Adjust treatment plans as needed based on patient progress.
