Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for Journey Traveler assignments nationwide. The role involves implementing OT programs, delivering treatments, and supporting patient independence under an OT supervisor.

The position requires travel to and temporary residence in locations outside the therapist's primary home, with a focus on measurable patient progress and teamwork within rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
• Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Must be available to travel and temporarily reside outside of the therapist's primary home.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments and work in various settings under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Attend and contribute to patient care and required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Deliver rehab services per plan of care with timely documentation and adherence to schedules.
• Collaborate with the rehab team to develop programs tailored to each patient.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in OT techniques under supervision and document progress.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and report equipment needs or repairs.
