Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Kewanee, IL. The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and help restore daily living skills in an acute care setting.

Requirements include NBCOT (OTR) certification, BLS, state licensure, and at least 6 months of experience. The role involves 35 hours per week over 13 weeks with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state-specific licensing are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and bend/stoop as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• NBCOT (OTR) and BLS certifications; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and observe patients performing tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities to reach them.
• Assist patients in performing daily tasks and improving function.
• Evaluate home/workplace for safety improvements and adaptations.
• Educate family and employer on patient care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct on its use.
• Document activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
