Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Alliance, NE. The 13-week engagement features 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, in an acute care setting to evaluate and plan care for patients needing to improve daily living skills.

The OT will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, and educate families. Requires NBCOT-OTR, BLS, and state licensure; 6–12 months of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires NBCOT-OTR certification and valid state licensure.
• BLS certification is required; 1 year of OT experience recommended, 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical history and observe task performance.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs to develop treatment plans.
• Develop goals and activities to improve daily living skills.
• Educate family and employer on accommodations and care needs.
• Assess home or workplace for safety and functional improvements.
• Document progress per state and insurer guidelines.
