Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Macomb, Illinois. This 13-week travel position involves 35 hours per week with seven-hour shifts during daytime hours.

The OT will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and support discharge planning within an acute care setting. Requirements include 1 year of OT experience (6 months may be considered), BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensure, and the ability to stand, walk, and perform necessary physical tasks.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of OT experience required; 1 year preferred, 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must hold BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state licensure.
• OTs must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend/lean or stoop as needed.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and assess functional abilities.
• Develop and implement a plan of care with specific goals.
• Educate patients, families and employers on accommodations and care.
• Evaluate home/work environments and suggest improvements.
• Document progress and outcomes per state/insurer guidelines.
• Provide timely clinical documentation and communicate with physicians.
