Job summary

UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, CO seeks an experienced Surgical Assistant/Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room. Full-time role with 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) and a day shift.

Position includes a $44.00 per hour base pay plus travel package/stipend for local traveler options. 13-week assignments are available. Minimum requirements include high school diploma or GED, DORA registration, 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Military Trained.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (through DORA).
• 1 year experience.
• BLS—BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date; valid through sixty days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments; assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery; continually accounts for instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
