Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level II Trauma experience and proficiency in total joints, neuro, hybrid vascular, and robotic case scrubbing.

The role requires PA licensure, BLS, BSN, and at least 2 years of OR experience, with broad exposure across surgical specialties. Local rate applies to candidates within 50 miles; travel eligibility and on-call options are noted. Epic charting is used; scrubs provided.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania or compact RN license required upon submission.
• BLS certification required.
• BSN required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required.
• Level II Trauma experience required.
• General OR experience required.
• Experience scrubbing total joints, neuro, hybrid vascular and robotic cases required.
• Laparoscopic-assisted case experience required.
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties based on unit needs.
• Experience with code response, safety protocols and universal protocol procedures.
• Electrosurgical unit experience required.
• Fiber-optic light source and cord experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting with approximately 19 rooms averaging 50 cases per day.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Weekend requirement of one weekend every 6 weeks.
• No floating between units.
• On-call is optional.
• Holiday coverage is optional.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Scrubs are provided.
• Preferred surgical experience includes ortho, urology, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, neuro and spine, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and transplant procedures.
• Preferred equipment experience includes cell saver, Hana Table, and Steris systems.
• Position is eligible for auto offer with manager review within 48 hours.
• First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate specialty experience.
• Local candidates accepted with a local rate differential applied.
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for the local rate to apply.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application and no additional requests will be accepted after submission.
