Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring IL licensure, Epic experience, and prior travel contract experience.

The responsibilities include scrub and circulate duties in an OR setting on day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM for a 13-week contract with no weekends or holidays and an on-call 32-36 hours. Credentialing documents are due before the start date.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license
• Current BLS certification (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years OR experience; 4+ years preferred
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• Ortho and Neuro experience required
• Plastics/general/ENT experience preferred but not required
• New graduates not accepted
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the last year
• Travel reference preferred

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting performing scrub and circulate duties
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week contract length
• No weekend requirement
• No holiday requirement
• No floating requirement
• On-call requirement of 32-36 hours
• Epic EMR experience required
• Perform scrub and circulate duties in the Operating Room
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being submitted as a travel candidate
• RTO for 13-week contracts limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Credentialing documents due by Thursday prior to start date
