Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse in Boston, MA for a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week. The position includes 10-hour shifts in the evenings as a travel role, requiring 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant.

Responsibilities include assisting surgeons, providing pre- and post-operative care, and coordinating patient education. ACLS/BLS certifications are expected, with various duties across circulating, scrub, and RN first assistant

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse
• Travel nursing assignment with 40 hours/week and 10-hour evening shifts
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; minimum 2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan for medication and home care.
