Job summary

TotalMed RN in Boston, MA is seeking an OR Travel Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Operating Room. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care circulating or scrub nurse experience, with potential RN First Assistant duties. Shifts are 10 hours daily, 40 hours per week.

You will assist physicians and staff, provide pre- and post-surgery care and education, monitor patients during procedures, and support the operating team with instrument handling and communication with families.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse; RN First Assistant may be required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred; ability to work 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications.
• Prepare instruments and assist with anesthesia as applicable.
• Coordinate with operating team and family communication.
