Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks an OR RN for travel assignments in Naperville, IL. This role covers circulating, scrub, and potentially RN first assistant duties in the operating room, with 13-week duration and 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurses, valid RN license, and current ACLS/BLS. NIH certifications may be required, and a tax-free stipend may apply. Travel and benefits are provided by TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH training/certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and administer prescribed medications.
• Serve as liaison between patients/families and the operating team; ensure correct procedure and patient safety.
• Assist physicians and staff during surgical procedures; monitor patient during surgery and post-op care.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and home medication management.
