Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Long Beach, CA. This role offers 36 hours per week on a night shift, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits through Fusion Medical Staffing.

The OR RN will support the perioperative team, prepare rooms, manage instruments, and ensure patient safety and infection control in a dynamic surgical environment. Requires RN license and BLS, with CNOR or ACLS/PALS ENPC preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in California.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) or other certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Anticipates needs and provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
• Documents perioperative care and patient handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
