Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN in the Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week assignment in Aurora, Colorado. This role offers 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, and a chance to work in a facility setting while delivering patient-centered perioperative care.

You must have one year OR RN experience, valid RN license for CO, and BLS. Preferred: CNOR, ACLS/PALS, and other certifications. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and recruiter support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in CO, compliant with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for each procedure
• Assists in patient positioning and preparation for surgery
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols
• Anticipates needs of surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates changes to the surgeon
• Manages instrument handling, sterilization, and disposal per facility protocols
• Collects, labels, and transports specimens per protocol
• Documents patient care in perioperative setting accurately
• Participates in handoff communications before and after procedures
• Assists in room turnover and restocking while adhering to safety standards
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure policy compliance
• Follows PPE usage and infection prevention measures
• Performs other duties within scope of practice
