Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, CO. The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Documents patient care during the perioperative period and communicates handoffs effectively.
• Assists in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases per turnover protocols.
