Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a Lynchburg, Virginia assignment. You will support surgical teams as a circulating, scrub, or first-assistant RN, providing care before, during, and after procedures aligned with physician orders.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience in the OR and BLS certification. Expect 10‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with travel logistics managed by TotalMed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse, or RN first assistant
• BLS certification and 2 years experience
• Travel assignment in Lynchburg, VA

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patient status.
• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Prepare, administer and record medications; report adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and meds.
