Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room Scrub RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lynchburg, VA. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse and an active BLS certification. Expect 10-hour daytime shifts and a travel-friendly schedule.

The OR Scrub RN will prepare instruments, assist during procedures, and ensure sterility and patient safety, with duties expanding to instrument handling and inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• 2 years acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients during procedures.
• Handle and prepare operating instruments within the sterile field.
• Monitor patient and respond to potential complications during surgery.
