Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, IL. This role offers 40 hours per week during day shifts, with a focus on perioperative patient care and collaboration with the surgical team.

The OR RN will prepare the operating room, manage surgical equipment, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic surgical setting. Comprehensive benefits accompany this travel opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) and readiness for cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments and supplies.
• Assist in positioning patients and maintaining safety.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and provide supplies promptly.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments and ensure proper sterilization and disposal.
• Document patient care in perioperative setting and handoff communications.
• Restock OR between cases and adhere to turnover protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure policy compliance and PPE use.
