Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (OR Circulate/Scrub/RN First Assistant) for a 13-week assignment in Globe, AZ. The role involves assisting in the OR, pre- and post-operative care, and education, with 36 hours weekly on 12-hour shifts.

Requires 1-2 years acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, and potential RNFA duties. Ideal candidates will be able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and adapt to the fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 3+ years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN, RN First Assistant potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and the operating team
• Ensure that the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient
• Initiate patient education on medications and home care needs
• Assist physicians and staff in preparing for and supporting surgical cases
• Support Circulating, Scrub and RN First Assistant duties as assigned
