Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Glendale, AZ. This role focuses on circulating and/or scrub duties within the OR, with potential RN first assistant responsibilities.

The position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The travel nurse will support surgeons and staff, handle patient education before and after surgery, and ensure safe, efficient care throughout 40-hour weeks on 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse and potentially RN first assistant.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Travel nursing assignment in Glendale, AZ for 13 weeks at 40 hours/week with 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery education to patients.
• Maintain sterile field duties for scrub nurses and instrument handling.
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Monitor patient safety and contribute to infection control.
