Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel OR RN (Operating Room) for a travel nursing assignment in Augusta, GA. The position requires 40 hours per week with 10-hour shifts and an 8-week duration.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN, and may include RN first assistant duties. Responsibilities include assisting the surgical team and providing perioperative patient education.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of acute care experience as an RN.
• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and operating room team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the patient.
• Initiate patient education for post-op care and home management.
• Assist circulating/scrub RN duties and inventory management.
