Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Jennings, LA. You will circulate across multiple specialties, cover OR, C-sections, PACU and endoscopy, and work day shifts 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

On-call one day weekly and every 4th to 5th weekend, with 30-minute call response, and potential float to other departments. Required: LA RN license or compact, ACLS/BLS/PALS, Epic EMR, and 1+ year OR Circulator experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact or LA) required in hand at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; OR circulator experience across specialties preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travel RN experience and community hospital exposure preferred
• Knowledge of gynecologic, general, pediatric, orthopedic, endoscopic, vascular, urologic, ENT, bariatric, thoracic, and oral surgery procedures
• Ability to respond to emergencies, monitor cardiac rhythms, and manage infection control and patient safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Serve as OR circulator for surgical, C-section, PACU, and endoscopy procedures
• Provide 8-hour day shift coverage (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
• Be on call 1 day per week and every 4th–5th weekend; arrive within 30 minutes when called
• Float to other departments when census is low
• Maintain sterile technique and enforce universal protocols
