• Perform tasks such as specimen handling, IV starts, catheterization, cardiac monitoring, and wound management.
• Follow Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures and infection control practices.
• Expected to work some holidays.
• RTO should be minimized and approved prior to start.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required one night per week and on weekends based on staffing needs
• No weekend shift requirement outside of on‑call rotation
• Floating required in rotation with facility staff, in accordance with facility floating policies and appropriate orientation
• Uses Omnicell, Meditech Expanse, and SBAR communication systems

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Meditech charting system experience required
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skilled in a broad range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, ENT, and pediatric procedures
• Proficient with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana Table, and Steris equipment

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties and procedures
• Perform tasks such as specimen handling, IV starts, catheterization, cardiac monitoring, and wound management
• Follow Universal Protocol (time‑out) procedures and infection control practices
• Expected to work some holidays
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, especially avoiding time off during the first two weeks or full calendar weeks off during the assignment; any RTO must be approved prior to start
• First‑time travelers may be considered if they have the right experience
• Local candidates within 30 miles accepted at the same rate
