Responsibilities / Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care OR experience and active CO or compact RN licensure. Located on the 2nd floor of a hospital's main OR suite, operating across 8 ORs with a staff of 25. Day shift hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a night shift on-call team. Procedures include orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and cardiac surgeries. Patient ratio is 1:1. Equipment includes all standard OR types as well as the Belmont rapid infusion system. EMR system is Meditech. On-call is required with a 30-minute response time; call rotates between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd call across a mix of weekdays and weekends on an 8-week cycle (approximately 7–8 call shifts per cycle, subject to variation). 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital OR experience
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Meditech EMR experience is preferred
• Experience in multiple service lines is preferred, with transplant and spine experience particularly valued
• Strong teamwork with providers and staff is essential; patient care experience is a top priority
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
