Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (RN) to join a Midlothian, Virginia assignment. This 18-week travel position offers 40 hours per week with evenings shifts, working in the operating room as a circulating, scrub, or first assistant nurse.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience in OR settings, BLS certification, and the ability to stand for long periods. TotalMed provides weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and benefits to support traveling healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care OR experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel RN assignment in OR; temporary relocation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and patient education.
• Position and prepare instruments; monitor patient during procedures.
• Communicate with patients and families; ensure correct procedures.
• Stand for long periods and assist with equipment during cases.
