Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR Travel Nurse to support surgical teams in the Midlothian, VA area. This travel assignment spans 18 weeks with 40-hour weeks and evening shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurses, or RN first assistants, and hold an active RN license with BLS certification. Expect perioperative care, instrument handling, and patient education as core duties.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, or RN first assistant.
• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Travel assignment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in the OR for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and patient education.
• Handle instrument preparation and ensuring sterility in the OR.
• Monitor patient status and communicate with the team during procedures.
