Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Springfield, Illinois. The role offers a 13-week duration with 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week, providing an opportunity to impact patient care while enjoying travel benefits.

The OR RN will prepare the OR, assist in patient positioning, maintain sterile fields, document care, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and quality in perioperative care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments and sterile supplies are ready.
• Assists in positioning patients for surgery and maintains safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
