Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Normal, IL. The position offers a 13-week duration, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts in a facility-based setting.

You will provide comprehensive perioperative care and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes. Required qualifications include one year of OR RN experience, an active RN license in Illinois, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid RN license in Illinois or compliant with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies for each case.
• Positions and prepares patients for surgery ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and supports turnover between cases.
• Documents perioperative care and participates in handoffs.
