Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR Travel Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Westfield, MA. This travel role features 40 hours per week across 10-hour day shifts, with duties spanning circulating, scrubbing, and potential RN first assistant responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of acute care experience in the OR, current ACLS/BLS certifications, and the ability to handle perioperative tasks, patient education, and team communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assist.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed meds.
• Serve as liaison between patient/family and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the patient.
• Educate patient and family on post-op care and medications.
