Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Lumberton, NC. Start date 10/26/2026, 40 hours per week, and a typical 8-hour shift in the operating room.

The role involves OR preparation, patient positioning, sterile technique, and teamwork with the surgical staff to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care. Requires RN licensure, valid BLS, and OR experience; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of significant changes.
• Handles surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use, sterilization, and disposal.
• Documents all aspects of perioperative patient care accurately and thoroughly.
