Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13‑week assignment in Lynchburg, VA. You will provide perioperative care, prepare the operating room, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies ready for procedures
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols and sterile technique
• Anticipates team needs, provides instruments and supplies to maintain workflow
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates changes to the surgeon
• Documents care in the perioperative setting and ensures accurate records
