Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Sanford, NC. The role offers the chance to travel, develop skills in a high‑volume surgical setting, and join a dedicated clinical team.

You will work 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure patient safety and high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Certifications such as ACLS/PALS/ENPC are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies.
• Positions patients for surgery and ensures comfort and safety.
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates team needs and provides instruments and supplies.
• Monitors patient conditions and communicates with the surgeon.
• Handles instruments and assists with sterilization and disposal.
• Manages specimen collection and documentation.
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Communicates during pre- and post-operative handoffs.
