Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Concord, NC. The RN will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, and work with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires at least one year of OR nursing experience, valid RN license, and current BLS certification. Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR, with comprehensive benefits and travel incentives offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional for each surgical procedure.
• Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort and safety according to procedural requirements.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures and adhere to infection control protocols and sterile technique.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments, supplies, and support promptly to maintain efficient workflow.
• Monitors the patient09s condition during surgery, documenting significant changes and notifying the surgeon.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting accurately and thoroughly.
• Participates in patient handoff communication during pre‑ and post‑operative phases, ensuring continuity of care.
• Assists in cleaning and restocking the operating room between cases, adhering to infection control and turnover protocols.
