Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Colorado. This assignment is for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts, travel status, and potential RN first assistant duties.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with BLS and additional certifications as required. Responsibilities include assisting the surgical team and providing perioperative care and patient education.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating/scrub nurse and potentially RN first assistant.
• Current BLS certification required before assignment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Act as liaison between patients’ family and operating team.
• Prepare instruments and supplies for procedures; monitor patient during surgery.
• Perform duties for OR circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant roles as assigned.
