Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Miami, Florida. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant and hold ACLS and BLS certifications. As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians in caring for surgical patients, support perioperative care, and operate in circulating, scrub, or

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education on medications and home care needs.
• Assist physicians in caring for surgical patients in the OR.
• Support pre- and post-surgery care as required.
