Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse in Los Angeles, CA for a 13-week assignment. The role involves circulating/scrub nursing, patient care, and perioperative support. Immediate start and 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, days. Travel status with potential RN first assistant duties.

Requirements include ACLS/BLS and 1–2 years of recent acute care OR experience. Certifications may be required prior to starting the assignment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in OR as circulating or scrub nurse
• RN licensure and active status
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Travel OR RN with readiness for 13-week assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed meds; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and operating room team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the right patient.
• Initiate patient education on medications and home care.
