Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Operating Room RN for a travel assignment in Marrero, LA. This position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating and/or scrub RN, BLS, and an RN license. The traveler will perform duties in the OR, assist physicians, and educate patients pre- and post-operation.

The role emphasizes instrument handling, sterile technique, and safe patient care across procedures, with 13-week duration and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating and/or scrub RN.
• RN license and BLS certification required.
• Travel RN assignment with 13 weeks duration.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and patient education.
• Prepare instruments and assist during procedures.
• Monitor patient during surgery and report complications.
• Follow sterile technique and safety protocols.
