Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Alexandria, VA. The OR RN will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Starting 10/12/2026, candidates must have 1 year of OR RN experience, a valid RN license, and BLS. ACLS/PALS/CNOR are preferred. The role offers competitive pay, day-one benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery while ensuring safety
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes
