Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Winchester, VA. You will join a dedicated clinical team delivering perioperative care, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the surgical schedule across 12-hour day shifts.

The role requires OR RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/ENPC/CNOR are preferred. Benefits and competitive pay accompany this travel opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in appropriate state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning and room setup.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team promptly.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Collect and label specimens per protocol.
• Document care in the perioperative setting.
• Handoff communication before and after surgery.
• Clean and restock the OR between cases.
• Adhere to facility policies and safety procedures.
