Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse (RN) for Columbus, GA. This 12-week assignment features 40 hours/week, 10-hour days in the OR, and requires 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, plus ACLS/BLS.

As an OR travel nurse, you will assist surgeons, provide perioperative care, and educate patients pre- and post-op. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; travel nurses receive competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, possibly RN first assistant.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active RN license with approved state RN registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care in pre- and post-operative settings.
• Prepare, administer and document medications as prescribed.
• Serve as liaison between patient/family and OR team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed and patient safety is maintained.
• Educate patients and families on home care and medications.
