Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room RN travel nurse for Columbus, Ohio. This assignment is 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts and a 13-week duration.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, and possibly RN first assistant duties, with BLS required. As an OR travel nurse, you will assist surgeons and staff, provide pre- and post-operative care, educate patients and families, and ensure correct procedures are performed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Experience as circulating or scrub nurse; RN First Assistant potentially.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and OR team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the patient.
• Educate patients and families on medication and home care.
