Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in West Islip, New York. The role focuses on infusion therapy and PICC line management, with a 13-week assignment, 40 hours per week, and 10-hour day shifts.

As an Infusion/PICC Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care for infusion therapies, chemotherapy, and related treatments, while ensuring patient safety, education, and high-quality outcomes across care settings.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of infusion RN experience.
• BLS certification and eligibility for State licensure.
• Infusion/PICC care and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments for infusion therapy or PICC needs.
• Insert, maintain and care for PICC lines and central venous access devices.
• Administer IV medications and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure continuity.
• Document nursing interventions and patient progress accurately.
