Job summary

TotalMed RN in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a 13-week assignment. The role focuses on infusion therapy and PICC line management, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour days. Travel employment and competitive pay are highlighted.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, PICC placement and care, IV administration, monitoring responses, patient education, and coordination with the care team. Must have 1+ year infusion RN experience and BLS; licensure eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of RN infusion experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Eligible for State licensure; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for infusion therapy or PICC placement.
• Insert and care for PICC lines and central venous devices.
• Administer IV meds and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and families on PICC care and infusion therapy at home.
• Coordinate with care teams to ensure continuity across settings.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses in records.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Manage a caseload with timely visits and updates.
