Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a travel position focused on therapy services. You will assist patients of all ages under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to develop, improve, or recover daily living and work skills.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS, COTA national certification, and state licensure; strong knowledge of anatomy and motor function; excellent communication and teamwork

Job description

Role:

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) — travel position focused on therapy services.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients of all ages in developing, improving, or recovering daily living and work skills under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). Tasks include delivering therapeutic activities, monitoring progress, documenting performance, assisting with exercises and mobility, educating patients and families, maintaining treatment areas, collaborating with team members, and ensuring compliance with licensing and facility standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 1 year of experience as an OTA, current BLS, COTA National certification, state licensure, and knowledge of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles. Must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift and assist patients safely.

Key Details:

36 hours/week, 9-hour days, travel employment, with additional certifications possibly required.
