Job description

Role:

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a travel capacity.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients of all ages under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to develop, recover, or improve daily living and work skills. Tasks include delivering therapeutic activities, monitoring progress, documenting performance, assisting with exercises and mobility, educating patients and families, maintaining treatment areas, collaborating with team members, and ensuring compliance with licensing and professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 1 year experience as an OTA, current BLS certification, COTA national certification, and state-specific licensure. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of anatomy and occupational therapy principles. Ability to lift and assist patients safely.

Key Duties:

Implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, document accurately, support patient education, and work within interdisciplinary teams.

This role involves working 36 hours per week on dayshift, performing 8-hour shifts, with employment type classified as travel. Additional certifications may be required.
