Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Adult Outpatient Hand Clinic in California. CA OT license and a minimum of 3 years of experience are required.

AHA BLS and various hand-therapy certifications are preferred. The role includes day shifts and potential cross-facility coverage within the health system. Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of adult hand and upper extremity patients, manual therapy, splint fabrication, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active CA OT license required
• AHA BLS required
• Minimum 3 years of experience preferred
• CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) preferred
• AOTA Hand/UE certification preferred
• PAM (modalities) certification preferred in CA

Responsibilities

• Adult outpatient hand clinic setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Provide evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for adult outpatient hand and upper extremity patients
• Perform modalities and manual therapy techniques including edema massage, electrical stimulation, myofascial release, splinting, and ultrasound
• Fabricate and apply prosthetics/orthotics including static and dynamic splints
• Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety/injury prevention
• May float within a 75+ mile radius to other facilities within the health system
